James Williams ready to excites blues rock fans with “Still got the Grease”

Just as 2022 starts to reach its final month, music fans keep on getting plenty of exciting stuff from all kinds of genres. Although most of the world is currently enamored with K-pop, the usual RnB, rap, and others, there’s also a slot for a cool bluesy thing. That seems like the message that Blues Rock/Fusion guitarist, James Williams is keen on delivering with the release of his new album “Still Got the Grease”.

The new record has its official release back in July 2022 but still deserves some talking to give more notice to all music lovers. For the latest outing, James offers listeners 13 exciting blues-rock/jazzy tunes.

Having strong influences from the likes of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Albert King, Albert Collins, Yngwie Malmsteen, Al Di Meola, and Uli John Roth, it’s visible to see how versatile James’ guitar playing becomes.

You can also see it from his new album, which started with a bluesy-rock piece ‘Movin’ On‘ that immediately showcases the guitarist’s bluesy approach. James also has a very quality vocal that blends in very well with the blues rock vibe he brings out on the track. The maestro also showcases his excellent guitar chops with some fine solo playing.

Another of that fine bluesy technical guitar playing can also be heard from the cheeky track entitled ‘There’s a Hole in my Roof Leakin’. It’s another fun blues-rock piece which once again will take its listener into an intriguing musical journey. A more extravagant guitar playing along with strong funk and fusion feel can be heard from the exciting ‘Black Cat’ piece.

Meanwhile, those who are eyeing for jazzier tune can certainly check out ‘Night at the Improv’ and ‘Shuttle Stink Funk’ that also offers another funky piece but with strong jazzy and fusion element as well. A slightly rocking approach from James is also visible on ‘Ain’t No Hurry’ which also mark the end of the record.

Overall, James latest outing “Still Got the Grease” is another exciting blues-rock record that can take music fans to experience that long lost experience. The album will take us into that bluesy atmosphere that is blend well with modern sound, making it very enjoyable even for the new generation.
