Entering the holiday season with Christmas arriving, it’s time to chill with some epic and exciting music. One of the songs that we at Rock-Expert would like to recommend for every rock or metal fan would be Dragonforce’s latest single ‘The Last Dragonborn’, which official music video was just released on November 29, 2022.

‘The Last Dragonborn’ Music and Video Review
Technically, the song itself is not a new one as it’s part of their latest album, “Extreme Powermetal” which was unleashed back on September 27, 2019. Naturally, the pandemic that hit the world during that year forced the band to stop its promotion activities.
However, once things get better, Dragonforce didn’t hesitate to unleash the music video for ‘The Last Dragonborn’ which is basically a tribute to the renowned game, Elder Scroll V: Skyrim. The MV itself is set in that gaming realm with dragons and notably the band being part of it. Visually, it’s a very quality clip, especially for those who are also fans of the action RPG game.
As for the track itself, ‘The Last Dragonborn’ can be considered the band’s latest power ballad piece instead of their usual high-paced speed metal stuff. Despite not being a fast-paced song, ‘The Last Dragonborn’ still managed to offer an exciting and rockin’ piece that thrilled the fans.
‘The Last Dragonborn’ Solo Length a Surprise
From the oriental vibe on the intro part up to the guitar solos, all parts blend really well together, making it arguably one of Dragonforce’s best ballad tracks. One thing regarding the solo that might surprise many would be the ‘rather short’ amount in comparison with many of the metal act stuff.
Sam Totman and notably Herman Li simply put on the right amount of juicy scale-ripping guitar shredding that makes you actually crave more. Personally, an area that might not be our favorite is the ending part as we would prefer to hear more of the chorus part being belted until the end.
Nevertheless, ‘The Last Dragonborn’ is another quality and enjoyable track that Dragonforce have released throughout their career. Rock and metal lovers, notably fans of the band should definitely check out this track if you guys haven’t already.
