Watch: Mr. Big Rockin’ Out ‘Colorado Bulldog’ Live at Sweetwater

Legendary rock act, Mr. Big, may not be the current hot young bands, but their live performances remain a most-wanted item for many music fans. The band recently had a couple of their performance videos, featuring ‘Colorado Bulldog’ and ‘Price You Gotta Pay,’ streamed by the renowned musical instrument company on January 31.

Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan Confirm Work on Mr. Big’s New Album

‘Colorado Bulldog’ is one of the band’s musically appreciated songs, notably for its technical nature. Music fans are always keen to watch Mr. Big perform it live, especially guitarists who want to see how Paul Gilbert shreds the guitar part of that track.

The privilege of watching the song being played live is something that thrilled fans in this early part of 2026, thanks to Sweetwater. The music instrument company posted the band’s video during their studio session time there.

Knowing that the band hasn’t had much visibility since their recent farewell tour ended in February 2025, Sweetwater gives such pleasure by showing the live performance videos. ‘Colorado Bulldog’ being picked as one of the songs streamed live was certainly a surprise for many fans, but an exciting one.

The band put out a solid performance, with Gilbert’s fascinating guitar playing, especially the most-awaited intro part, Sheehan’s fascinating bass playing, Nick D’Virgilio’s drumming, and including Eric Martin’s vocals. Nick certainly has done really well as the replacement for the late Pat Torpey, even though there’s a bit of that something missing, as Pat was such an iconic drummer for Mr. Big.

Mr. Big also Rockin Out ‘Price You Gotta Pay’

Just as it was mentioned, aside from ‘Colorodaro Bulldog’, the band also performed another rare track, ‘Price You Gotta Pay’, taken from their 1993 album “Bumb Ahead”. Although the track is not one of their most popular ones, it’s still a piece that can showcase Mr. Big’s excellent musical qualities.

The strong rock’n roll and bluesy element in the track always makes ‘Price You Gotta Pay’ a fun piece to watch when being played in a live format. Fans can certainly enjoy this excellent display as all four musicians once again put out such a neat performance.

Although rock lovers might be hoping that the live session at Sweetwater will also consist of Mr. Big’s more popular songs, it’s still a pleasure to enjoy the veteran rockers early this year. Even if there’s still a possibility for the band to do some other stuff in the future, with their recent farewell tour, expecting another long road trip is pretty much unlikely.

That’s why this kind of studio session at Sweetwater is something that Mr. Big lovers can cherish and maybe hope to happen again sometime soon. The music company might potentially have more live recorded shows of the band’s performance, which they are holding out for future release, but that’s just a speculation for now.

At the moment, there’s still no new schedule or plan from the quartet aside from re-releasing some of their old albums, with “Hey Man” being the latest. one. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the record (originally released in 1996) will have a new edition unleashed on May 8th this year.
