The highly anticipated new group, Whom Gods Destroy, finally announced its complete line-ups after revealing Bruno Valverde as the band’s drummer. The current Angra drummer was announced as the final member of WGDestroy via the band’s official social media page, confirming earlier speculation.

New Band, Whom Gods Destroy Reveal Full Lineups
WGDestroy previously introduced themselves to the public as a new project from guitar maestro, Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal and keyboard extraordinaire, Derek Sherinian, who are also involved in the prog metal supergroup, Sons of Apollo. Those two seem keen on continuing their collaboration in a new group adding Dino Jelusick (vocal), Yas Nomura (bass), and eventually, Valverde.
Following the introduction of Whom Gods Destroy as Bumblefoot and Sherinian’s new project, soon after they revealed Jelusic as the next member. Nomura was introduced as the bassist despite he’s also widely known as an excellent guitar player. The lineup was finally completed with the revealing of Valverde, who was not much of a surprise considering some of the hints on social media.
The new group supposedly already has some materials ready and set to release as they have shown snippets of the band members recording some tracks. However, there are still no additional details regarding the release of their debut album. One thing for sure is that they will provide music fans with quality and rocking stuff.
WGDestroy to Offer Progressive Rock/Metal Stuff
Whom Gods Destroy will most likely offer technical progressive rock songs as it was hinted by the band on their social media. It’s possible the new supergroup would be Bumblefoot and Sherenian’s attempt to continue their passion for creating prog rock/metal music, knowing that Sons of Apollo might be getting a bit of a break with Mike Portnoy’s return to Dream Theater.
It’s certainly interesting to witness what kind of music the new group will unleash into the world, notably considering the musical prowess of the members. The combination of technical qualities and creativity looks to be the main ingredients that fans can expect from WGDestroy.
