Boston rock act, Extreme continue to promote their latest album “Six” by releasing a music video for the single ‘Thicker Than Blood’. The band opted to involve an important aspect for them, which is the fans, for the new clip.

Extreme Release Their Seventh Music Video ‘Thicker Than Blood’
The funk-metal band are still busy gearing up to finish their tour this year with some schedule remaining in Europe until December 16, before they kick start again in February of next year. Despite their tight schedule, Nuno Bettencourt and co still have the time to release their latest music video, this time for the song ‘Thicker Than Blood’.

Fans’ Perspective Was the Highlight on Extreme’s ‘Thicker Than Blood’
Unlike their previous clips, the new MV doesn’t just involve the band members but also their ‘fifth’ member who is the fans. In their statement, the band believe that their devotees are an important part of the group’s success, notably for the new album’s release. For that reason, Extreme opted to release their latest music video in a live show format as it showed the band performing in front of a massive crowd.
The clip was Extreme’s seventh MV released in support of their new record, ‘Six’, and just like the previous releases, ‘Thicker than Blood’ is also being directed by the collaboration between Nuno and Rene Rigal. The guitarist is also involved in video editing, showcasing his enormous talent outside the music realm while confirming his massive involvement in the new album’s process.
Nuno Bettencourt Delivers Another Blazing Guitar Solo

The music video is set using the fans’ perspective who are watching their favorite band playing in front of their eyes. Nuno seems keen on providing that fancam experience for everyone, especially for fans who might not have the opportunity to see them live this year. Although Extreme have been touring in many countries all over the world, there are many countries that they haven’t visited yet in 2023.
Regarding the song itself, ‘Thicker than Blood’ offers a modern hard rock feel with the tech sampling being implemented during the intro and verse. That cool modern beat adds an interesting color that makes the track even more appealing. Aside from the cool accompanying beat, another exciting part of the song would be Nuno’s solo part which is as majestic as ever.
Although, the solo part might not be as epic and technical as ‘Rise’. but it still has such an exciting charm. Nuno once again showcases how he can just implement and fit it in with the vibe and feel of the song. It’s another of Extreme’s vibrant songs with a modern sound and proficient technicality but without losing touch with its feel.
Moreover, ‘Thicker Than Blood’ might be the seventh track that Extreme made a music video for but it doesn’t diminish its importance as the band use the title for their current world tour name. Overall, it’s certainly another exciting track from the Boston-based band’s latest record “Six” which has been a success so far.
