Canadian guitarist/musician and a good friend of hours, Mike Milan Dedic, has been in the music industry for a while now. Recently, he unleashed an interesting single entitled “Energy” which we believe deserved more recognition from music and guitar enthusiasts.
The song actually had its official release back on August 12, 2021, but certainly deserves more recognition, especially from guitar heads all over the globe. Just like its title, ‘Energy’ immediately starts with an energetic yet quite simple riff, that actually sounds quite catchy.
The track has that late vintage rock vibe with that raw sound and fine technical playing, right from the get-go. After the catchy intro, Mike immediately went full neo-classic with his lovely-sounding arpeggio runs.
‘Energy’ also gives a big hint on how strong the influence of Eddie Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen on Mike’s guitar playing throughout the years. The melodic arrangement added with the fast arpeggio runs in between blends in quite well and somehow creates an interesting listening experience.
Regarding the music video itself, ‘Energy’ was shot in a simple fashion as it shows Mike along with his bands playing to the tune of that track. There’s no elaborate addition, just a very simple yet pleasant video that just shows the musicians rockin’ out.
Overall, ‘Energy’ is an intriguing instrumental neo-classic rock piece that gives that engaging vibe, notably for guitar enthusiasts who might miss listening to this type of song.
