The Winery Dogs ending 2022 with the fiery ‘Xanadu’

Rock supergroup, The Winery Dogs returns to entertain music lovers just before the end of 2022 with their new single ‘Xanadu’ from their upcoming album “III”. After their latest release EP “Dog Years” in 2017, Richie Kotzen, Mike Portnoy, and Billy Sheehan finally got the time to unleash another record this year.

‘Xanadu‘ itself is the first single that they are releasing from their upcoming record, “III” which consists of around 11 songs in total. The new track itself is said to be one of the band’s ‘heavier’ stuff in the new record.

The song starts off with that usual groovy-rockin’ riff that we often heard from these rockers, especially in their previous songs. It’s a very ‘upbeat’ track with plenty of excellent playing from the trio, notably Kotzen who puts out excellent licks and a fine solo as well.

Meanwhile, as for the accompanying music video, ‘Xanadu’ didn’t set up any special backstory whatsoever, but just simply showed the band rocking it out. However, music fans got to enjoy the lovely background view that the band used. It simply makes the clip look dazzlingly gorgeous and just adds that extra spark, especially for any music fans whose watching it.

Overall, ‘Xanadu’ is another excellent song that continues to showcase The Winery Dogs’ character. The supergroup is certainly keen on showing what kind of rock band they thrive in, which is more than just technically excellent musicians.

‘Xanadu’ is another proof of how the band masterfully combines their superb musicianship into creating a fine tune without throwing away their technicality. The Winery Dogs certainly close the year with a banger and will certainly start 2023 with more exciting stuff as they set to unleash more tracks from the upcoming album.

The band’s new record “III” will have its official release on February 3rd, 2023 but fans can already pre-ordered it right now. Aside from preparing their new album’s release, The Winery Dogs will also gear up for another tour next year, which will kick-start on February 15 at The Palace Theater, Greenberg, PA.
