After recently showcasing ‘Energy’ and ‘Hungarian Dance No. 5’, we at Rock-Expert are keen on reviewing another exciting neoclassical rock piece from Mike Milan Dedic, entitled ‘Over The Top’. The song was released back in 2023 but once again we believe it deserves more recognition, especially from guitar heads and fans of the neoclassical rock genre.
Mike Milan Dedic Unleashed ‘Over The Top’ in 2023
The Canadian guitarist continues to show how strongly influenced he is by neoclassical and rock guitarists, notably Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen and others. On ‘Over The Top’, Dedic once again wasn’t shying away in unveiling his strong neoclassic vibe and influence from start to finish.
The 2023 track started with that melodic enchanting minor riff that will immediately take music fans into that familiar neoclassic atmosphere. Dedic also complements the instrumental track with some nice short arpeggio runs throughout the song while adding a more intense one for the solo part.
‘Over The Top’ Was Originally Recorded in 1986
Similar to ‘Hungarian Dance No. 5, Dedic’s track ‘Over The Top’ was originally recorded back in 1986 and was mastered digitally after being extracted from Vinyl. The Canadian guitarist also played all the guitar and bass parts for that song, while the drum section was done by Rick Smith.
After remastering the track, ‘Over The Top’ got its digital release on May 3, 2023, and four days later the official visualizer music video was unleashed on YouTube. Although the clip is quite simple, it is still more than enough to compliment the song which didn’t lose any of its excitement factor.
Mike Milan Dedic Plans for More Music Projects Soon
Although the song is technically a remastered project and not the most modern, ‘Over The Stop’ still maintains such a solid sound and tone. Dedic’s playing skills and musical arrangement also make the track exciting and enjoyable for listeners, notably any guitar heads even for those who might not be a big fan of the neoclassic genre.
After his latest single release ‘Hungarian Dance No. 5’, Dedic revealed to us that he will be involved in some music projects that will hopefully bring joy to his fans.
