Boston-based rockers, Extreme are still busy with their world tour but that doesn’t stop the band from entertaining their fans on the digital world as they released a new video. Via their official social media pages, Nuno Bettencourt and co unleashed the official clip for their single ‘Save Me’ offering a rather somber concept.
Extreme Released ‘Save Me’ Music Video

Amid their current ‘Thicker Than Blood’ tour, Nuno Bettencourt, Gary Cherone, Pat Badger, and Kevin Figueiredo remain keen on promoting songs from their latest album “Six”. After premiering eight music videos from songs on that new record, the band have now added a ninth clip with the release of ‘Save Me’ on September 18 via YouTube.
Just like their previous videos, the rockers also set up a special concept for their latest MV as they are keen on delivering the song’s message. The clip for ‘Save Me’ is set more simply and less colourfully compared to previous clips they have released so far.
Nuno Bettencourt Reveals the Reason for ‘Save Me’ Dark Concept

The new music video showed the band members in a close-up setup with a dark/black and white colour setup to capture that claustrophobic feel that they want. They are seemingly eager to create that troublesome atmosphere that people would usually feel during any physiological battle in their heads.
In their official Instagram account, Nuno specifically said the importance of creating that concept for their ‘Save Me’ video so it can convey the message they want to deliver. The guitar maestro is hoping that their new clip can help people who are experiencing dark reality in life eventually find light since it’s what the track meant to deliver.
“This video was shot with a very claustrophobic feel to show the raw emotion of the heavy subject matter of the song,” Nuno explained. “It is a song of hope… in a dark reality. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. There is always someone to call when all seems hopeless.”
The song itself does justice in trying to convey its dark message with such heavy riffs and lovely melodic runs along with strong, meaningful lyrics. ‘Save Me’ simply tried to explain that life is filled with dark reality but there’s always a light at the end of every tunnel that’s why it blends the negative and positive melodies into one. Guitar heads would also be quite happy with the solo part that Nuno put out, although it’s not too complex it still blends well with the vibe of the song.
Nuno and Gary to Join Dewa 19 All-Star Concert in 2025

Aside from being busy with their tour schedule and album promotion, the band also have time for other projects, notably Nuno and Gary. Those two musicians seemingly have plenty of other musical stuff they do individually and together including their upcoming appearance at Dewa 19 All-Star concert next year.
The legendary Indonesian rock band have done similar All-Star shows before and they set up another one scheduled for January 18, 2025. Both Nuno and Gary will be part of the special international guest start which includes Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big), Ron Thal, Dino Jelusick, Derek Sherenian (Whom Gods Destroy), and John Waite (Bad English). However, for the remainder of this year, both Nuno and Gary look to focus on completing their current ‘Thicker Than Blood’ tour with their band.
