Guitar Virtuoso, Richie Kotzen, showcases his musical versatility and prowess again as he posted of video of himself playing some jazzy tunes on social media. Kotzen is widely known for his versatility in playing, as he released plenty of fusion songs and also played in a Jazz band, Vertu.

The guitar maestro provides another piece of excitement for his fans and all guitar heads, with another special, fun playing. On his Instagram account, Kotzen showcases some of his fine melodic runs, giving out that jazzy-fusion runs with a clean sound on his new Fender Strat signature series.
Although it’s just a short clip, it’s more than enough for guitar fans to enjoy such pleasant tunes from the virtuoso. RK is certainly making many people remember his versatile and fusion prowess with his short jam. Not only showing his jazzy riffs, Kotzen also added some nice fast and cool technique that blends well with his whole playing.

Remembering Kotzen’s Time with Vertu
Hearing RK playing some of that Jazzy-fusion vibe not only put us back to his instrumental solo days but also the guitarist’s time with Vertu. The Jazz band led by the legendary Stanley Clark on bass with Lenny White (Drums), Rachel Z (Keyboard), Karen Briggs (Violin), and Kotzen on guitar.
The band released a self-titled album back in 1999 and did some exciting performances, which can still be seen to this date on YouTube. Having the opportunity to work with many well-established jazz musicians at the time certainly also showed Kotzen’s pedigree in that genre.
