The virtuoso is known for being very productive, whether it’s writing songs, releasing albums, whether it’s his solo or band/duo records. Aside from those official releases, Kotzen also enjoys sharing snippets of his playing via social media while sharing other interesting stuff.

On one of his recent social media posts, the guitarist/singer once again showcased his brilliant playing, but that’s not the only interesting aspect, as he also revealed an intriguing guitar. Kotzen stated that he was using a custom Fender, which he got in parts and worked on himself, including putting his own artwork into the body.

The maestro called his custom Fender, ‘LeBron’, which was not directly named after the famous basketball player. In truth, RK hinted that those who followed him long enough would know that it was derived from the odd puppet he bought sometime ago during his European Tour.

Kotzen’s Fender LeBron is Named After a Puppet

Around 2012, RK began sharing video recordings of his tour on YouTube. During an episode called “Inner Voice,” he revealed a puppet he had purchased in Prague. It was a rather creepy wooden puppet that the guitarist apparently loved and featured in many of his videos afterwards.

It was certainly an interesting moment where Kotzen seemingly created engaging interaction videos between himself, his bandmates, and the puppet, which the guitarist voiced himself. At the time, the guitar virtuoso’s vlog was quite popular among his fans and guitar enthusiasts.

His inner voice vlog and the introduction of the LeBron puppet certainly left a strong impression on Kotzen, as he still remembers and is inspired by it to this date. Just like he stated, the guitarist designed and assembled his custom Fender and turned it into an intriguing piece.

Although he looks to be enjoying his leisure time on social media, Kotzen is currently gearing up for his upcoming co-headlining tour with fellow guitar maestro, John 5. They will be entertaining guitar heads in the United States, starting from October 16 this year and scheduled to go through until November.
