Whom Gods Destroy Unleash ‘In the Name of War’ as Debut Single

The progressive metal/rock act consisting of Derek Sherinian (keyboards), Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (guitars), Yas Nomura (bass), Dino Jelusick (vocals), and Bruno Valverde (drums) has been attracting music fans’ attention since announcing their project in late 2023. Attracting quite strong attention considering their top-class lineup, Whom Gods Destroy doesn’t disappoint with their debut track. The band are not trying to hide their progressive metal approach as they immediately put out a heavy track with modern sound and exciting musical display from each of their personnel.

The song starts with a haunting keyboard sound from Derek’s magical fingers before eventually embarking into heavy progressive riffs in which the whole instrument combines masterfully. Dino’s massive vocals also bring out that mysterious and heavy metal feel that suits well with the song’s vibe. Moreover, guitar heads should also check out Bumblefoot’s masterful solo playing which adds that special touch.

As for the music video itself, it was directed by Vicente Cordero while the editing part was done by Vojan Koceić. The clip was made in a pretty standard concept as it only shows the band members rockin’ out on their track without any additional story footage. Despite the rather simple setup, the MV still managed to provide the energy that captivates music enthusiasts on the band’s new track. \
